Chapter one.
I could feel the blood from my mouth trickling down my chin. I had no idea where I was.
"Nessa!" I whispered frantically.
The last thing I remembered was me and my friend Nessa in her garden, just talking, and then...nothing.
"Nessa!" I cried, louder this time.
"Marian?" I heard someone say
from my left. I sighed with relief. "Nessa, don't you ever scare me like that again!" I yelled at her.
"Yeah, never mind about that, where the hec are we?" She replied, pushing back her messy blond hair from her face.
I stood up; the world started to spin. I sat down again. A couple of seconds later, I stood once more. I just stared. I barely heard Nessa's shocked gasp.
We were on the edge of a large hill overseeing a huge land with valleys and castles and forests.
We were a long way from home.
Before I tell you more, I should probably tell you a bit about me and Nessa. We are not best friends, since we do not believe in having "Best Friends." We are extemely close though, practically best friends.
My full name is Marian Rachel Fitzwater. I have shortish electric blue hair with bright red streaks, and bright green eyes. I am also quite short and slim, but I don't care what height I am, it's actually good to be "fun size."
Nessa, on the other hand, has long blonde hair, and dark brown eyes. She is also quite a bit taller than me, and is very pretty.
Anyway, back to the story.
We stood there for ages, not being able to comprehend the fact that we were not in
Sydney anymore. Hec, I don't even think we are on earth anymore!
"Come-" I started, then stopped so Nessa wouldn't see how terrified I was.
"Come on." I said gently, tugging her away.
Nessa couldn't speak, she was already in tears.
I couldn't blame her, I was feeling a lot like crying myself.
"We just need to find someone to tell us what's happened." I said opptimistcally, though we could both see I didn't mean it.

We walked for a little way until we came across a boy with light brown hair who
looked about our age.
"Excuse me?" I said.
He looked up at me. "Can you-whoa." I stopped abruptly. He had the hugest, bluest, most gorgeous eyes I had ever seen.
He smiled at me, he was probably used to that reaction. "Is there something I can
help you with?" He said with a handsome grin.(I noticed that it was more pointed to Nessa than me.)
"Could you tell us where we are?" He stared at us for a second before saying. "Wow. It's usually, 'what time is it?' or 'your eyes aren't real, are they?'"
"I know it sounded weird." I rushed. "but could you please remind us?"
"You're in Aridona." He said. "In the country obviously." Nessa nodded.
"Aridonia, sure...wait, what?! How do we get back
to Sydney?"
"Where?" He said, confused.
"Australia?" I tried.
"Sorry, no where like that here."
I barely had enough time to catch Nessa as she fainted.

"Is she okay?!" The stranger exclaimed as he helped me lie her down.
"She just had a shock, she'll be fine." I said as calmly as I could, trying not to faint myself, the poor boy probably wouldn't be able to handle TWO unconcious girls.
"My name is Alan by the way." He said. "What's yours?"
"Marian." I replied. "And the unconsious one is Nessa."
"Pleased to meet you both."
"Likewise."
"Wait a second."
Alan dug his hand into his pocket and yanked out something, (who knows what it was.) and waved it under Nessa's nose. She stirred groggily.
"Who are you?" She said sleepily.
"I'm Alan, we just met, remember?" Her eyes grew wide.
"Oh no, I thought it was all a dream!"
Alan pretended to be offended.
"I didn't think I was that bad!"
I rolled my eyes. "It's okay Ness." She looked up at me.
"Merry?"
"Yes, that's right, I'm here." She closed her eyes. "I'm tired."
She whimpered. Alan looked at me.
"We should get her to a bed. There's an inn near by, I could help you get there."
"Thankyou Alan, you've been really great, but we don't have any money." I said sadly, thinking of my purse at home.
"That's fine, I'll pay." He said quickly. I guess the pain of losing someone as beautiful as Nessa was to much to bear. "Are you sure? I mean, you don't look...um well...y'know...loaded."
He shrugged. "I have enough money, my job sees to that."
"How old are you?"
"Seventeen."
"Same.
He gestured to Nessa. "And her?"
"Sixteen."
"Well, I couldn't let two such lovely young ladies fend for themselves, it's completly un-chilverous.!"
I laughed. "Well, if you insist." "I do." He smiled cheekily, picked up Ness, and started walking away. "This way."
He said. I nodded, and started to follow him, talking one last look at that amazing, terrifying view.
"What have I gotten myself into this time?" I murmered tomyself, before turning around to follow Alan to the inn.
