The Musician and the Magician chapter 5 part 1

"I am not doing that."
"You have to!"
Logan looked at me with a look of revulsion on his face.
"I am not disecting a frog."
"Please! I am in horribe trouble with science!"
"Why? You're smart!"
I smiled. "Aw, thanks, but that's not why I got in trouble."
"Why then?"
I bit my lip. "Well, last year I protested the whole disecting thing, because I think it's gross-"
"It is gross-"
I glared at him. He cleared his throat. "Sorry, go on."
"Anyway, I protested it by chaining myself to the pipes on the roof."
He gave me a look that seemed like I had just told him that I had decided my life goal was to feed chocolate covered raisens to the people in the Tweety bird costumes at Disney land.
"You chained yourself to the pipes on the roof?" He said incredulously.
"Yes."
"How did you get on the roof?"
I shifted uncomfortably. A levitating spell I thought.
"I have my ways." I said mysteriously.
He just stared at me. I grinned.
"Barking mad." He muttered.

The Musician and the Magician Chapter 4 part 2

"Okay, Darc. You have to marry him, get really rich and famous and then set me up with Nick Jonas, David Henrie or Sterling Knight."
I rolled my eyes. (Again!)
"Kari, I am NOT going to marry Logan, I just met him last week!"
She stopped walking and faced me. "Why would you not like him?! He's gorgeous, he's christian, he's famous, he's hot, he's friends of you, he's cute-"
"Something tells me you have said that before-"
"-And he would be INSANE not to like you."
I tilted my head to the side and groaned. "Kari. Please. Stop."
"Fine." She grumbled.
I walked over to the playground, and sat on one of the swings. Kari sat next to me.
I pushed myself forward with my feet. Kari looked at me.
"Can I date him then?"
"Don't even go there."
"Okay."

The Musican and the Magician chapter four.

I DO OWN THIS

Chapter four.

"Girls!!!!" My Dad called.
"Coming!" I yelled, yanking my boot on while trying to get out the door.
"I'm not ready!" I heard Dani scream.
"Dab some mascara on your eye and be done with it!" Dak shouted.
"I'm primiping!"
"You have skin like a baby's ass, what do you have to primp?!"
"GIRLS!"
"COMING!"
Me and Dak dashed down stairs, still pulling on clothes. Dani hadn't yet surfaced.
Mum and Dad were waiting for us. "Hurry up girls!" Mum said.
"I'm ready."
"Me too."
"DANI!" We all yelled.
"Okay!" She cried. She waved her wand over her outfit to fix it. (To me she looked no different.)
Dak obviously shared my opinion. "You look no different."
Dani responded by glaring at her.
Mum sighed. "Okay girls, we're already late so come on!"
"We're ready, it's Princess Perfect who was slowing us down!"
"Perfection takes time!"
"You're a wizard for pete's sake!"
"And?"
Dak shook her head. "I give up."
                                :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::;
"Okay. There have some been some INSANE rumors going around since I've been gone!"
My best friend Kari, a gorgeous Latino-Australian ran up next to me.
"I've been gone for a week to visit my grandparents, and everyone's going haywire!"
"Really? What are they saying?"
"Well," Kari said, using her hands rapidly when she talked, "There is this ridiculous rumor about you being friends with Logan Hawk, which is so ridicu-"
"Hey." Logan said coming up to us.
"Hey." I replied.
Kari looked wildly between to two of us, squeaking, before she fainted on the pew behind her.
Logan looked at her in her collapsed state. "Was it something I said?"
"Don't worry, she does it all the time."
"Really?"
"Yeah, you should have seen her when the Jonas Brothers were in Australia."
He laughed. "But should we help her?"
I shook my head. "No, she'll be coming around in about three...two...one..."
"What happened?"
Kari sat up and stared at Logan. "Oh my giddy aunt the rumors were true! You're dating a celebrity!"
I stared at her unbelievingly. "We are not dating! We just met! Geez!"
Logan was looking between the two of us with a mischevious grin on his face.
Kari smiled at him, finally acknowledgeing his presense. "Can I have your autograph?"
"Sure."
Kari looked like she had died and gone to heaven.
"Logan!" A woman called, trying to control two little boys.
"Oh, dang, I have to go, I'll see you at school!"
"Oh, but-" Kari whimpered, having just whipped out her notebook.
"Bye!"
She looked at me. "He's even hotter in real life than he is in his pictures!" She sighed. "He beats Nick Jonas and Sterling Knight hollow."
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, I guess he's okay..."
"Oh my word, you think he's cute, don't you?!"
"No!!!!"
She looked at me and leaned over. "So he doesn't know about...you know..."
"No! Giddy aunt, no. You're the only one of my friends I've ever told!"
Kari smiled. "Good. I like being special."
I rolled my eyes. (How many times does that make this week?)
"Do you want to go for a walk to the park?"
"And discuss your undying love to Logan Hawk? I am so there."

Chapter three. (Dakota's perspective.)

"Well. Well, well, well, well, well!" I grinned.
Dani looked at me in shock. "I just met Logan Hawk!"
"Yes you did."
She looked at her outfit. "In my pajamas!"
"Hehe."
She glared at me. "Shut up Dak."
Mum sighed. "My baby just brought home a boy."
I bit my finger. "Yeah. My baby sister just brought home a celebrity."
Dani whimpered. "It was supposed to be me who a celebrity fell in love with!"
"Haha."
"Shut up Dak."
Back to Darcy's perspective.
"Hanging with you this week was really fun." Logan said looking at me.
I smiled back at him. "Yeah, it has been."
"Which church do you go to?"
"Saint Johns."
"Do you recommend it?"
"No. I hate it, and I plan to burn it down this Sunday." I said sarcastically.
He laughed. "I'll tell my family that we should go to Saint Johns this Sunday."
"Good choice." I smiled.
"So, I guess I have to go."
"I'll see you Sunday."
"Sunday."
"'Bye Darcy."
"'Bye Logan."
He waved at me and walked away. I closed the door and turned to see my sisters and my Mother staring at me.
Dak grinned at me. "Well. Well well well. My baby sister and a celebrity, who'd have thought?"
Mum looked at me. "Is he a christian?"
"Yes."
"Well then, I approve."
"Mum! I just met him!"
She just shook her head. "Oh! Think how gorgeous your children will be!"
Dani looked at me. "The musician and the magician. Sounds rather romantic."
I facepalmed.

The Musician and the Magician chapter two.

Chapter two.

"Urggh!"
"It was not that bad!"
"I could feel my brain dying!"
"Maths was not that hard!"
"It was too!"
"It was not!"
"It was too!"
I laughed. "We have known each other for a grand total of three hours and we are already arguing like we've known each other since we were two!"
He laughed. "So it's lunch now?"
"Yep."
"Thank god."
"Don't say that unless you mean it."
"I'm a christian."
"Hey, me too!"
"What a small world!"
"Isn't it just!"
We were in the school courtyard now. Everyone was turning around to stare at us, (Or more correctly, Logan.) I steered him towards a bench, and we sat down.
"Do you need to buy lunch, or do you have some?" I asked.
He waved a sandwich at me. I nodded. He opened his mouth to speak when he was interrupted by a very pretty girl I had never talked to.
"Logan Hawk?" She giggled.
"That's me." He smiled.
She smiled back and took another step towards where he was sitting.(I noted that he shuffled back a bit.)
"I'm Holly, I came to say you can come sit with us you know, you don't have to stay here with...well..."
She looked snootily at me before turning back to to Logan and fluttering her eyelashes flirtatiously at him. I looked quietly at my hands.
"No thanks."
I looked up, suprised. Logan was frowning at Holly. "I'm fine here."
Holly looked shocked. "Oh. Well, that offer still stands if you change your mind-"
"I don't think I will."
Her suprised expression turned into a glare, (directecd mainly at me.) "Fine."
She tossed her hair and flounced away from us. Logan looked at me. "Well. She seemed nice."
I started giggling and couldn't stop. Logan started laughing with me and we couldn't stop for about three minutes. The bell rang again.
Logan stopped chuckling and groaned. I laughed. "Come on!"
"Please no!"
"Be brave."
"I'm beyond bravery, please don't make me go back in those class rooms!"
"If you're a big boy I'll let you have a pony ride later!"
"Well, if a pony ride is on offer..."
                                        :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"You cannot tell me you have never seen Stardust!"
"Fine, I won't tell you."
I rolled my eyes at Logan and gave him a small shove. I stopped walking.
"This is my house."
"Okay."
I looked at him. He didn't move.
"Sooo."
"Sooo."
I looked up at him ( he was a good foot taller than me.) He looked back at me. It was a week since we had met now.
I bit my lip. "Would you like to come in?"
"Ahhhh I have earned your trust."
"Against my better judgement."
He grinned. "I'd love to come in."
"Okay." I walked towards the door and unlocked it. "Just wait there for a second."
"Um, okay." He said, looking rather confused. "Just. Stay there."
I smiled at him and got inside. As soon as we were seperated by the door, I started sprinting. "MUM!" I hissed as I reached the kitchen. "Yes sweetie?" She mumbled, using her wand to turn the page of her cookbook, while chopping carrots.
"Where's Dak and Dani?"
"Their rooms I excpect."
"DAK! DANI!"
My sisters came stomping down the stairs. "What?" Dani squealed. "You're interupting my study." Dak stared at her incredulously. "Study? You're doing your makeup!"
"Doesn't mean it isn't important!"
I stared at them with my mouth open. "Guys! I just screamed for you and you're standing there arguing!" My Mum put her hands on her hips. "Shush girls. What is it Darcy?"
I sighed. "Okay. I have a-a friend over, and well, he's not magic and-"
"He?" Dani raised her eyebrow.
"Shut up Dani. Anyway, he can't know we're wizards and-"
"Enough said." Mum said, whipping off her apron. "Girls, hurry and clean up. Hide your wands, your spell books, and everything else magic related, now go, go go!"
"Sorry about that." I said, joining Logan outside the front door. "I knew the house was a bit messy, and that my Mum would want to give it a quick clean up."
He smiled. "That's okay. You should see how messy our house is, having just moved and everything, you can't even find the beds!"
I grinned at him. "Well I think you can come in now, just let me check-"
I stuck my head inside the door and mouthed to Mum. "Are you done yet?" She nodded yes.
"Okay!" I smiled at Logan. "Come in!"
We walked inside where my mother was waiting for us.
"Mum, this is Logan, Logan this is my mother."
"It's very nice to meet you Mrs. Lucas." Logan said shaking her hand.
"Please call me Leah dear." Mum said, with a knowing smile on her face. "Oh, yes. Darcy, you have good taste." Logan coughed to disguise a laugh, I glared at my Mum and mouthed "You are so dead!"
Dak came running down the stairs. "Oh, hello." She said, feining suprise. She looked at Logan. "Darc, who is your handsome gentleman friend?"
I gave her a look of annoyance before saying, "Dak, Logan, Logan, Dakota."
Logan raised his eyebrows. "Dakota? That's an unusual name."
"Yes, Mum and Dad were cruel to their first child."
Logan laughed. (Have I mentioned how nice his laugh is?) "So Darcy, I think you said that you have one more sister?"
I nodded. "Yeah, wait, Dani!" I called. Dani came stomping down the stairs, "Yes Dar-."
She stopped, seeing Logan. Her mouth dropped open. "But- you're..you're...you're Logan Hawk!" He chuckled. "Yes, yes I am."
She looked at him in shock. I grinned. "Dani, this is Logan, as you have pointed out, Logan, this is my seventeen year old sister Daniella."
She was still gaping at him. Mum looked at Logan. "So Logan, how does Dani know who you are?"
"I'm a musician." He said, his hands behind his back.
"How interesting!" Mum nodded. Dak sighed. "Ahhhhh that's where I've seen you before! Yeah, you're okay."
He looked suprised. "Well, thankyou."
"You're welcome."
"Okaayyy, anyway, Logan, do you want to go outside and hang out?" I suggested.
He turned to me. "Yeah, that would be cool. Nice too meet you Dani, Dakota-"
"Dak."
"-Dak and Mrs. Lucas-"
"Leah."
"Leah. So, anyway nice to meet you all."
Me and Logan turned around, and I directed him to the back door.

Chapter one.

"DARCY!!!!!!!!!!"
I groaned and opened the door. "What Dani?"
My older stomped up into my room. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY WAND?!"
"What?"
"IT'S MISSING, AND I KNOW YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT!!!!!"
I considered putting my hand on her shoulder, but considering she would probably rip my arm off, I decided against it.
"Dani, I did not take your wand, you probably lost it, your room is such a mess you'd never know." (The last bit I said under my breath.)
She continiued glaring at me.
"I'm serious!"
She rolled her eyes. "Fine. Innocent until proven guilty, but I am watching you!"
Dani walked out of the room pointing dramatically at me. I rolled my eyes.
After she left my room, I walked down the hall to my eldest sister's inner sanctum.
I leaned against the frame of her door. She looked up from her desk. "Hey."
"Dak, when are you going to tell Dani you hid her wand?"
She grinned at me, swinging around her chair so she was facing me. "Maybe never. It's really fun watching her scream."
"Well, not when she's screaming at me!" We both started laughing.
"Do I have to return it? It's fun stressing her out."
"You are the worst older sister Dakota."
"Thankyou."
I moved away from the door. "So what does that make in the score?"
"Me nine, you six."
"Just wait, I'm learning how to levitate mice."
"Sounds good!"
                              ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The next morning I went to school just like normal, but when I went into my science class, there was a huge crowd around one of the desks. I was curious to see what the hubbub was about so I started to walk over to the desk when my science teacher Mrs. Lannahan walked in. Everyone moved moved back to their seats, so I had a chance to see what they had been so excited about. I looked over and saw- a boy.
Typical. I thought. He does look kinda familiar though...He had swishy golden brown hair that was in that style that every teenage boy has, and really dark blue eyes. Suddenly it clicked. He was-
"Class quiet down." Mrs. Lannahan called. "As you might have noticed, we have a new student." She gestured for him to come and stand next to her. "This is Logan Hawk."
Some of the girls erupted into squeals and cheers, I rolled my eyes.
Logan Hawk...yeah I know him. He's that singer-guitarest, Justin Bieber wanna-be.I thought to myself. I looked at him, and noticed he was staring at me. As soon as he noticed I was staring back, he looked away. His music isn't so bad though, I'll give him that."Class, please settle down."
Everyone quieted again. "As you have probably guessed, Mr. Hawk will need a science partner-"
Half the class raised their hands, (Including some of the guys.)
Mrs. Lannahan sighed and then looked over at me. "Miss Lucas?"
"Yes Ma'am?"
"You partner with Logan here, and make it your job to make him welcome."
I heard the groans behind me. (I think one girl burst into tears.)
So this is what I get for being a good student.
I sighed for about the sixth time today. "Yes Ma'am."
Logan walked over to me and sat down next to me.
We were silent as Mrs. Lannahan told us what to do. Then as everyone started to do their project, I turned to him.
"Hi, I'm Darcy." I said, sticking out my hand.
"I'm Logan." He said, shaking my hand.
"Yeah, I heard."
"Well, I just thought I should introduce myself."
"How gentlemanly." He smiled at me. "So she-" He pointed to Mrs. Lannahan.
"Mrs. Lannahan."
"Mrs. Lannahan. She doesn't mind us talking?"
"No, she thinks it's stimulates the brain."
"Cool!" He grinned.
"Yeah, our school's pretty relaxed."
"Yeah, I don't really know what school is like."
"Always on the road?"
"Practically, but that was only since I was fourteen."
"Then how come you don't know what school is like?"
He smiled. "Homeschooler."
"Really? That's so cool!"
"Thanks!"
"Just out of curiousity, how old are you?"
"Seventeen."
"Makes sense."
"How old are you?"
"Sixteen. I'll be seventeen before the year's out though."
He nodded. He was about to say something else when the bell rang and Mrs. Lannahan rushed us all out. I was walking down the hall when Logan ran up beside me.
"Hey, can you show me where my locker is supposed to be?"
I smiled at him. This day was actually turning out to be pretty good.

So I am writing another book as well...

So I am writing another book about a teenage wizard, and it is set in the real world, and it is a fiction/romance/teen/fantasy.
It's the first in a series, and is called the Musician and the Magician.
So I shall be publishing it soon! :)
I'll still be writing my other book, so I will switch from book to book.
Thanks!

Chapter Six.

Sophia brushed back her hair from her face, her beautiful eurasian features covered in dirt and liquid. She was about to pour the potion she was concocting into the other vial of liquid, but was interuppted by a knock at the door. "Oh, um, oops." She said as she accidently dripped a bit of the acidy fluid onto her carpet, burning a hole in it.
"Who could that be?" She mused as she ran for the door.
**********
I looked at the girl who had opened the door. She was very pretty, and about my height, (Thank goodness, I had started to feel like midget.), with dark brown straight hair which was all in a mess, and she was wearing a type of lab coat, which was covered in who knows what. She blinked at us. "Hi." She said.
Maya walked in front of us. "Hello Sophia."
Sophia suddenly stopped looking so confused. "Oh! Hi Maya! I didn't know you were coming, should I call my Mother for you?"
"No, no. Me and my friends hear would like to speak to you."
*************
"So you want me to join a group that's going to take down queen Erynn?" She said, pacing around the room.
Maya nodded. "Yes. They would need someone with your brains, and your age."
I looked at her. "How old are you?"
"I'm sixteen. And I will admit, I am pretty smart."
"How modest." I heard Luke mutter. She suddenly looked sorry. "Oh, sorry! I shouldn't say things like that, dang, I'm so bad at remembering that!"
I tried to repress my grin. She seemed pretty cool. "So...are you in?" I asked.
She looked at me. "Well, I would have to finish my project..." She said smiling.
"So Sophia-"
"Call me Sophie."
"Sophie. You sure you want to do this?" I asked for about the third time.
She grinned at me. "Yeah. I'm heaps nervous, and I'm not sure if I would be much help on the battle field, but yeah."
"Don't worry." Nessa said. "You can't be any less hopeless than I would be, I've never even held a sword that isn't made of plastic."
"And I'm useless unless it comes to archery." I supplied.
Luke looked at Alan. "Please don't tell me your hopeless too."
Alan looked thoughtful. "I think I'm good. It's the pointy end of the sword you stab people with, right?"
Luke did a facepalm while the rest of us laughed.
Maya smiled. "Okay, well you all need to be prepared, so how about you start tommorow morning."
"Wait." I said. "I'm still not entirely sure on what we are doing."
"It's simple." Luke said. "We take down her out posts one by one, get rid of the people that work closest to her-"
"Who are just as evil as her-"
"Yes, and then when we've done that, we keep travelling until we reach her castle, and then we kill her."
"That easy, huh?" I said, trying to smile, trying to hide the fact that I wanted to throw up.

Chapter Five.

He lead us to an old house and knocked on the door. "Aunt Maya?" He called.
I expected a slightly crazy old woman to open the door a crack, and beckon us in creepily, into a house with a black cat, and heaps of herbs everywhere, and dead animals hanging all over the walls.
Instead, a lady with light brown skin, (in her late thirtes I would guess), answered the door and smiled around at us.
"Luke!" She smiled, hugging him close. Luke looked around at the rest of us. "This is my aunt Maya. She was my uncle Joseph's wife."
I smiled at Maya, I liked her.
"Pleased to meet you ma'am."
"Please call me Maya."
"Pleased to meet you Maya. I'm Merry, this is Nessa, and that is Alan."
Her smile grew wider. "The more the merrier! Luke doesn't usually bring friends around here, stubborn boy."
Me and Nessa giggled. Luke looked annoyed, (I noticed his cheeks had turned slightly pink.) and leant over to Maya, and whispered something to her. Her face fell. "Oh."
She said, biting her lip. "Oh. You had better come in."
We were all settled in her nice cozy house, (which was nothing like I had imagined.)
Maya leant back and said. "Made that prophecy eight years ago, Luke was eleven. Me and Joseph were talking with him at dinner (We practically raised him, his parents died when he was four)" Luke cleared his throat, clearly telling her to move on.
"Yes, anyway. We were talking, and suddenly, I was saying that verse. It didn't even feel like it was me speaking. Have you already heard the prophecy?"
We nodded. "Well. I do think you two are the ones I was talking about."
My head was reeling. "How can you be sure?" I whispered.
She looked at me. "Sweetheart. God gave me a gift. I just know."
Nessa whimpered. She had a habit of doing that.
"So we have to form a group of people to take down this queen...what was her name?"
"Erynn." Alan supplied.
"But why? What has she actually done?"
Luke gave a laugh that was completly humorless.
"What hasn't she done? She has kiIIed so many people, and taken over this entire country."
"Why is she queen if everyone hates her?" Nessa queried.
"She isn't really." Maya answered. "She just appointed herself. We know she must be a witch, because she has to be older than me, and yet she looks about 20."
I tilted my head "How many people has she kiIIed?"
"Too many to count. She kiIIed my Joseph."
"And my parents."
"She kiIIed my father and my sister."
I felt a burning anger towards this queen. How could anyone be so cruel?
"Who would we need?" Maya thought about this for a second. "Well, for one, you would need someone smart-"
"Hey!" Me, Nessa, Alan and Luke all cried out.
"-someone who knew the land, someone tactical, a warrior, and you two. You wouldn't want too many people or you would attract attention."
Alan sat up straight. "Well, I know the land really well."
"And I'm very good at coming up with battle strategies and protecting people." Luke chipped in.
Maya smiled. "Now you need the brains, and I think I have just the person..."

"So, you said you are lost didn't you? Like you're from, um, what was it? Sidine?"
"Sydney."
"Where is that?"
Me and Nessa looked at each other. "Well, um it's hard to explain..."
*******************
"You're from another world?!"
I shrugged. "I guess so." Alan flicked his hair out of his eyes. "I'm sorry. I mean, you're family's must be back there."
Nessa sighed. "Well, not really. My dad died two years ago, and I never knew my Mum."
"And my parents died in a car crash when I was 12. I just spent all my time at Nessa's place." Alan looked horrified. "I am so sorry!" I shook my head. "Don't be. Both of our parents were christians, so we know they're in a better place."
"Wait, you two are christians?" He said, pointing between the two of us.
"Yes."
He laughed. "So am I!" Nessa looked stunned. "No way!" She cried out.
"Yeah!" He grinned at the two of us. I smiled. "That is so awesome." He nodded. "So you two aren't that bummed that you are here?"
"Well, apart from the company, Aridonia is pretty cool." I said, poking out my tongue at him. He punched me on the arm. "Haha."
"How lovely." A voice said. Luke was standing right behind me.
"What do you want?" Alan said to him.
"Well that was polite." Luke said.
"Fine, please, sit down. Now, what do you want?" Luke raised his eyebrow at Alan before taking a seat between me and Nessa. "I overheard your conversation-"
"Again?" I blurted out. He looked at me. "Yes, again. And I heard that you are from the other world. I thought you should know; you're probably the ones in the prophecy."
Me, Nessa and Alan all looked at each other in confusion. "What prophecy?" We all asked.
Luke sighed. "My Auntie sort of...well...sees things, God must have given her a gift. And anyway two years ago she made a prophecy about two girls that would rid the world of Queen Erynn." I blinked several times. "Queen who?"
"Queen Erynn." I was suprised that it was Alan now speaking. "She rules the country. She's a dictator and I hate her." He said this with a bitterness that I would have not thought Alan could come out with. "Anyway." Luke cut in. "It went something like.

From the other world, two girls come,
to rid the world of the royal scum,
a team of heroes they will assemble,
that will make the world tremble,
they shall bring the evil down,
unless the are destroyed by the crown.

Luke finished, and I just sat there staring at Nessa.
"Okay." I said after a long pause. "You're crazy."
Luke sighed. "I probably do sound a bit crazy, don't I?"
Nessa jerked out of her trance to snort and say, "Uh, yeah."
"Yeah right." Alan laughed.
"You're totally bonkers!" I giggled.
"There is no way that's real!" Nessa said.
Luke ran his hands through his hair and said. "Fine. If you don't believe me, I'll take you to see my aunt herself."

"Good morning sleephyhead!!!!!!" Nessa cried out happily.
"Die."
"You are such a morning person." She grinned, yanking out my pillow from under me.
"Die twice!"
"Stop with the Gilmore Girls references."
"Shut up."
"My, you are lovely in the morning." She said while opening the curtains.
"Arrgggh!" I cried, sitting straight up. "I hate you so much right now!"
"I love you too."
"Just 'cause you want to meet your boyfriend..."
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"
"-Doesn't mean you have to drag me out of my happy sleep time."
Nessa rolled her eyes. "Come on! I'm hungry!"
"Yeah right, you just want to go meet Alan." I muttered grumpily under my breath.
"I heard that!"
"You were meant to!"
"Hi girls!" Said Hermione sweetly.
"Hi Hermione." Smiled Nessa.
"Meh." I grunted.
"Not a morning person?"
"Meh."
"Can I get you some coffee?"
"Is the sky blue?"
She laughed. "It'll be there in a second."
I slid onto a seat and whacked my head on the table. Nessa grinned. "Come on Merry, why don't you, oh! There's Alan!"
"Yippee." I muttered. Alan walked over to our table. "Morning girls! Did you sleep well?"
I straightened up."Yeah I was great, untill I got a wake up call by a dead person."
"You got woken up by a ghost?"
"No, I got woken up by Nessa, who I am going to kill as soon as I can move my legs."
Nessa rolled her eyes at me. "Ignore her, she's not a morning person."
"You don't say!" He said, pretending to be shocked. "So have you eaten yet?"
"No, we're waiting for our coffee - oh it's here!"
"Thank goodness." I said. Me and Nessa took our coffee's off the pretty innkeeper's wife.
I took a big sip. "Ahhhhhhhh...that's so good." Nessa nearly spat her coffee back in her mug. "And hot!"
"Haha. Payback."
"Oh, shut up."
Alan looked between the two of us. "Do you two ever slow down?"
I took another gulp. "Nope, you slow down, you die."
"How poetic."
"To quote you, 'I try'."
"Oh, Aragorn's in the house." Nessa said gesturing to Luke who had just came down stairs. I looked over at him, he looked back at me with a weird expression on his face.
"He's staring at us again!" Nessa said exasperatedly. "Well, more Merry than me."
"He's probably just staring at her hair. Is it natural?"
I stared at him. "No way. It's brown naturally."
"Well, he's probably just looking at you because there is not many people with blue hair around here."
"Yeah." I said slowly. "That's probably it."
"Hey Nessa, Hermione owns some rabbits that she keeps in the back, do you want to go to see them?"
Nessa jumped up. "Of couse!" Alan looked over at me. "How about you Merry?"
"Hmm? Oh, um no. I'll just stay here." I said distractedly. The two of them got up and walked into the back. I sighed, and drunk some more of my coffee. "Hello, can I get you something?" I looked up to see Moses smiling at me. "Do you cook pancakes?" I said hopefully. "Sure! I'll get you some." He pushed back his spikey back hair out of his face and went into the back leaving me there bored.
"Hello." I turned looking at the person who had sat next to me.
"H-hi." I stuttered to Luke.
"So ummm." I stammered. "My name is Luke." He said. "I know." I replied. "My name's Marian."
"I know."
"How do you know?"
"I overheard you talking. You're right, I don't see many people with blue hair."
I started blushing profusely. "Oh." He gave a half smile. "It's okay. It's nothing to get embarrassed about." I smiled back at him. "Thanks."
"So where are you from?"
"Oh, well, um." I began, but was interuppted by Allan and Nessa coming back in.
"Really?" Alan was saying. "Yes, she was so cute, I just love ferrets-" Nessa stopped abruptly seeing me talking to Luke.
Luke looked at me, "I'll see you Marian."
"Call me Merry." I managed to get out.
"I'll see you Merry." Luke gave me another half smile, before getting up and walking out the door.
Alan and Nessa just stood there staring at me. I opened my mouth to say something when Moses appeared with my pancakes. "Here you go." He said to me. "Thanks."
"Moses!" I heard Hermione call. "Enjoy the pancakes." He said smiling at me before he walked away.
So I was left with the awkwardness washing over the 3 of us all over again.
"So." Nessa said. "You were managed to start a conversation with James Bond."
Alan blinked out of his trance. "Wait, who?"
"Doesn't matter."
I shrugged. "He just came over to me and started talking, I don't know what happened."
Alan sat down next to me. "Weird. He usally just keeps to himself."
"Yeah, you said."
Nessa sat on my over side. "Wow. You must feel special."
"Because I'm the only person he has spoke to in his life?"
"Because he's cute."
I swear Alan nearly spat his entire cup of coffee on the table.

The Second chapter of my unamed book.

I DO OWN THIS.

Chapter two.

"I hope you're not a serial killer." I said to Alan. "I assure you I am not." He smirked at me. "I am just your knight in shining armour."
"How modest."
"I try."
Nessa gave a small sigh in her sleep, Alan shifted her a bit in his arms. "Will she wake up?" He said a bit worried.
"No, you could hold her upside down in her sleep and she wouldn't wake up." He chuckled. "Good to know."
An inn appeared in view. "There it is." He said pointing.
Light shone through the windows, and I could hear noise coming out of the building. Alan gently shook Nessa in his arms. She raised her head.
"Where are we?" "We're going to an inn so you can sleep." Alan said to her as he gently put her on the ground.
I shook her. "Are you going to be okay?" I said. Nessa nodded. "I'll be fine."
Alan started briskly walking into the inn. "Come on!" He called to me. "It's getting cold." I pulled my jacket closer around me, he was right.
We all walked into the crowed room, trying not to bump into a drunken person. We sat down at the bar, and waited for someone to come serve us. An extremly pretty woman came over to us. "Would you like something?"
"Yeah, we'll have three bowls of ham soup." Alan said.
"Sure." She said. "Wait, that's okay isn't it?" Alan turned to us. "Neither of you are jewish or vegeteriens are you?"
"No, we're good." Said Nessa, the colour starting to come back to her face.
"Three soups then."
"Okay." She smiled at us, and went into the kitchen.
I looked around the room, trying not to stare at people.
"Hey Alan?" Nessa said. "Yeah?" he replied, whipping his head around immediatly.
"Do you know people here? Like, who to stay away from, and who to go to if your clothes are on fire?"
He nodded. "Yeah, I pretty much know all and see all. If you're looking for someone to give you a bucket of water when you're in flames, the innkeeper Moses and and his wife Hermione, they're pretty cool."
I looked over at the Hermione who was getting our food. She did look really nice. As did her husband who was serving people drinks, his coffee couloured face lighting up with laughter. "As for people you should stay away from, well-" Alan began, but I interrupeted him.
"Alan. Who's that guy?"
"Which one?"
"The one staring at us like we're the hobbits and he's Aragorn."
"The whaty-what-what-what?"
"Doesn't matter." I gestured with my head. "That one."
"Ohhh, Luke." Alan murmered. Me and Nessa looked at each other. "Who is he?" We said in unison.
"He's kinda the town loner, doesn't talk to many people, stays to himself." I turned slowly, trying to be subtle, (trying being the cruicial word) to look back at Luke. He had dark brown hair that was sort of in a David Tennant style, and striking dark brown eyes. He shifted his gaze to me and I hurriedly looked away.
"Why is he staring at us?" Nessa said, craning her neck to look at him. (At least I had pretended to be subtle about it.)
Alan shrugged. "He probably just can't keep his eyes off two such beautiful girls." Nessa giggled, returning his flirt. I rolled my eyes.
"Ah, the food's here!" Alan grinned, handing us our bowls. I snuck one last look at the mysterious stranger named Luke before I started to eat.
"So, we should probably go to sleep..." I began, stopping Nessa and Alan's never ending conversation. (Apparently we are all obsessed with animals, who knew?)
"Oh, yeah, it's getting late." Alan said. "I paid for rooms for both of you for tonight."
"So, are we going to see you again?" Nessa said. (Kind of sadly I noted.)
Alan looked suprised. "Of course! I'll see you here tommorow, I mean you might need me, 'cause you two look kind of..well..um..."
"What do we look like Alan?" I said, putting my hands on my hips, and looking mock offended.
"Well..um...lost?"
I laughed. Nessa smiled. "Yeah, we're sorta lost."
"So I'll see you tommorow?"
"Yes."
He grinned. "Just ask Hermione which room you're supposed to be in. and I'll see both of you tommorow."
Nessa smiled back. "'night."
"'Night."
"Bye Alan."
"See you Merry."
I turned to Nessa. "We-e-ll." She looked at me. "Well what?"
"Need I repeat that last scene?" I put on a high pitched flirty voice. "Goodnight Alan! I'll see yooouuu tommorow." I gave her a cheesy smile, batting my eyelids.
She gave me a look. "Shut up." (I could see that she was trying to hide a smile.)
I walked over to Hermione. "Excuse me, which room are we staying in?"
She looked at us. "You're the one who the handsome young man bought rooms for?"
"Yes."
"Just go up the stairs, the fourth door on the left."
"Thanks."
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight!"
Me and Nessa climbed up the stairs. We settled on to the two beds, (me bagsing the one by the window.) I snuggled into my bed.
"Merry?" Nessa whispered.
"Yes?"
She sighed. "Do you think we're going to be able to get back."
I paused before saying, "I don't know Ness."
I heard her shift. "Because staying here...it might not be too bad."
I smiled. "Might that be because of a very handsome blue-eyed boy?"
She sat up. "Marian Fitzwater, how dare you suggest that!"
"I know what you were thinking!"
"I am not talking to you now."
"You just did."
"Shut up."
"Goodnight Nessa."
"Goodnight Merry."
I smiled before rolling over to sleep. As I closed my eyes, I was suprised to realise that the image that came into my head was of Luke and his dark brown eyes.

The First chapter of my unamed book.

I DO OWN THIS.

Chapter one.
I could feel the blood from my mouth trickling down my chin. I had no idea where I was.
"Nessa!" I whispered frantically.
The last thing I remembered was me and my friend Nessa in her garden, just talking, and then...nothing.
"Nessa!" I cried, louder this time.
"Marian?" I heard someone say
from my left. I sighed with relief. "Nessa, don't you ever scare me like that again!" I yelled at her.
"Yeah, never mind about that, where the hec are we?" She replied, pushing back her messy blond hair from her face.
I stood up; the world started to spin. I sat down again. A couple of seconds later, I stood once more. I just stared. I barely heard Nessa's shocked gasp.
We were on the edge of a large hill overseeing a huge land with valleys and castles and forests.
We were a long way from home.

Before I tell you more, I should probably tell you a bit about me and Nessa. We are not best friends, since we do not believe in having "Best Friends." We are extemely close though, practically best friends.
My full name is Marian Rachel Fitzwater. I have shortish electric blue hair with bright red streaks, and bright green eyes. I am also quite short and slim, but I don't care what height I am, it's actually good to be "fun size."
Nessa, on the other hand, has long blonde hair, and dark brown eyes. She is also quite a bit taller than me, and is very pretty.

Anyway, back to the story.

We stood there for ages, not being able to comprehend the fact that we were not in
Sydney anymore. Hec, I don't even think we are on earth anymore!
"Come-" I started, then stopped so Nessa wouldn't see how terrified I was.
"Come on." I said gently, tugging her away.
Nessa couldn't speak, she was already in tears.
I couldn't blame her, I was feeling a lot like crying myself.
"We just need to find someone to tell us what's happened." I said opptimistcally, though we could both see I didn't mean it.
We walked for a little way until we came across a boy with light brown hair who
looked about our age.
"Excuse me?" I said.
He looked up at me. "Can you-whoa." I stopped abruptly. He had the hugest, bluest, most gorgeous eyes I had ever seen.
He smiled at me, he was probably used to that reaction. "Is there something I can
help you with?" He said with a handsome grin.(I noticed that it was more pointed to Nessa than me.)
"Could you tell us where we are?" He stared at us for a second before saying. "Wow. It's usually, 'what time is it?' or 'your eyes aren't real, are they?'"
"I know it sounded weird." I rushed. "but could you please remind us?"
"You're in Aridona." He said. "In the country obviously." Nessa nodded.
"Aridonia, sure...wait, what?! How do we get back
to Sydney?"
"Where?" He said, confused.
"Australia?" I tried.
"Sorry, no where like that here."
I barely had enough time to catch Nessa as she fainted.
"Is she okay?!" The stranger exclaimed as he helped me lie her down.
"She just had a shock, she'll be fine." I said as calmly as I could, trying not to faint myself, the poor boy probably wouldn't be able to handle TWO unconcious girls.
"My name is Alan by the way." He said. "What's yours?"
"Marian." I replied. "And the unconsious one is Nessa."
"Pleased to meet you both."
"Likewise."
"Wait a second."
Alan dug his hand into his pocket and yanked out something, (who knows what it was.) and waved it under Nessa's nose. She stirred groggily.
"Who are you?" She said sleepily.
"I'm Alan, we just met, remember?" Her eyes grew wide.
"Oh no, I thought it was all a dream!"
Alan pretended to be offended.
"I didn't think I was that bad!"
I rolled my eyes. "It's okay Ness." She looked up at me.
"Merry?"
"Yes, that's right, I'm here." She closed her eyes. "I'm tired."
She whimpered. Alan looked at me.
"We should get her to a bed. There's an inn near by, I could help you get there."
"Thankyou Alan, you've been really great, but we don't have any money." I said sadly, thinking of my purse at home.
"That's fine, I'll pay." He said quickly. I guess the pain of losing someone as beautiful as Nessa was to much to bear. "Are you sure? I mean, you don't look...um well...y'know...loaded."
He shrugged. "I have enough money, my job sees to that."
"How old are you?"
"Seventeen."
"Same.
He gestured to Nessa. "And her?"
"Sixteen."
"Well, I couldn't let two such lovely young ladies fend for themselves, it's completly un-chilverous.!"
I laughed. "Well, if you insist." "I do." He smiled cheekily, picked up Ness, and started walking away. "This way."
He said. I nodded, and started to follow him, talking one last look at that amazing, terrifying view.
"What have I gotten myself into this time?" I murmered tomyself, before turning around to follow Alan to the inn.
