The Musician and the Magician chapter 6 part 1

The Musician and the Magician chapter six.

I DO OWN THIS.

"Mum, I'm home! And I come with guests!"
Logan's Mum came in, wiping her hands on a tea towel. "Oh, hello girls!"
"Hi Mrs. Hawk."
"Hi beautiful. How are you?"
"We're good." Kari said, leaning against the wall. I jumped up on to a table and sat there.
"I'm guessing my son had invited you both to dinner?"
"You guessed right. That's okay isn't it?" I asked.
"Of course! Now, I have to get dinner ready, so kiss." She said to Logan. He leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "And I must bid you goodbye for now."
She walked out just as Logan's eight and eleven year old brothers ran in.
I jumped off the table. "Hi!" I said, hugging Connor, the baby of the family. I tried to hug Jonathon, but he dodged my affections, only to be caught by Logan's open arms.
"How're you doing squirt?" Logan said lovingly to his little brother.
"Get off me!" He grunted, squrming out of Logan's grasp. I giggled as he sent an admiring glance to Kari to see if she had noticed how manly he was, avoiding any physical touch.
Logan grinned at me. "Okay, the house is still a bit of a mess, so how about we go outside?"
I shrugged. "Sounds good to me." Kari nodded.
We headed to the garden, Connor and Jono tagging along.
"Who invited you?" Logan said, turning to his younger brothers.
Connor gave a cheeky grin while Jono shrugged.
"What's with all the noise?" A voice complained. I looked up as Danny, the only other Hawk brother walked over to our group.
I looked at the four brothers. They all looked similar, with honey blonde, almost brown hair, and deep blue eyes. He smiled at me and Kari. "Hi Kari. Hi Darc." He then turned, ever so slightly towards Logan and gave him a knowing smile before turning back to me. At age fourteen, Danny was very interested with matters of the heart, and was convinced that Logan was going to marry me.
Logan rolled his eyes at me.
I smiled at Danny. "What's going on Dan?"
He shrugged. "Nothing much. Got drama tommorow, so that'll be fun."
"Man." Kari said. "I wish I homeschooled. No uniforms!"
"That's only one of the perks." Danny grinned.
"Yeah." Jono said, tilting his head towards Kari. Connor just smiled.
Logan groaned. "Man, I envy you three. Homeschooling is so awesome."
"I happen to think our school is okay." I protested. "But I do agree that homeschooling seems more fun."
"Oh, it is!" Connor laughed. We talked for ages untill Jennifer called us for dinner.

"Do you two want to come to my house for dinner tonight?"
Logan looked at me and Kari as we walked home from school. Kari looked like she was going to burst with joy.
I shrugged. "I'll have to call my Mum"
"Okay, I'll wait."
I walked over to the corner and yanked out my phone. "Hi, Mum."
"Darcy?"
"Mum, can me and Kari go to Logan's house for dinner tonight?"
"Well-"
"You know him, you like him, you trust me and Kari, you love his family-"
"Okay! Okay!" I heard my Mum laugh.
I smiled. "Thanks Mummy."
"Love you sweetheart."
"Love you too. I'll be home before ten."
I hung up and looked over to where Logan and Kari were engaged in converation.
"I love capsicum." He was saying.
"Bleah, I hate it. It's my least favourite vegetable."
"Technically it's not a vegetable." I said, sauntering up.
"What?" They both looked at me.
"A capsicum is a fruit."
Logan snorted. "No it is not."'
"Is too."
"Is not."
"Is too."
"Is no-"
"Okay!" Kari yelled. She looked at me. "Did your Mum say you could come?"
I nodded. "Cool!" Logan grinned. "Then, let's get going!"
Kari groaned. "I hate having to stay in my school uniform."
"You don't have to come." I pointed out. She blinked at me, obviously thinking that I had experienced some sort of of stroke to even think that she wouldn't come.
I sighed.
Her infatuation with him hadn't at all faded over the last three months.
She broke her gaze with me and said chipperly, "Let's go!"
We all smiled at each other as we walked away, Kari in the lead. Logan leaned over to me one last time to say, "Is not."
"Is too."
"Bet you five bucks."
"You're on."

The Musician and the Magician chapter 5 part 2

"How many wives did Henry the eighth have?"
"Six."
"Very good Miss Lucas. And how did they all die?"
"He divorced one, two were beheaded, one died giving birth to his son Edward, and the last one, Catherine Parr, survived."
"Very good Miss Lucas."
I smiled. I love being right! To quote Percy Jackson, "it is my fatal flaw."
The bell rung, and I grabbed my bag and stood up. Kari joined me as soon as my foot was out of the door.
"Where is he? Where is he? Where is he?" She said, bouncing up and down.
"Whoa!" I cried out, trying to calm her down. "How should I know where he is?"
"But..." She whimpered, her lip quivering. "I thought you were going to marry him, and then introduce me to Logan Lerman, and then me and Logan Lerman would get married, and have seven kids, and-"
"Okay, okay, hold up." I stopped her.
"First of all, he is a musician, not a actor, he has most likely never met Logan Lerman. Two, how confusing would it be if we both married famous guys named Logan? And three, IN WHAT UNIVERSE?!?!"
Kari crossed her arms grumpily. "Fine, be that way." She started muttering under her breath.
"Hey guys!' Logan called out from across the hall as he headed over to us.
Kari scowl melted off her face. "Hi Logan!" She smiled, flicking her hair.
I rolled my eyes. (Again)
"Wow. P.E is hard." He said.
"You think it's hard? We have Coach Ameason, ick." Kari said, shuddering.
"Not the best Coach?"
"Oh, no, she's a brilliant Coach." Kari began.
I cut in. "For the army, but this is High school."
"Unfortunately." Kari said, wrinkling her nose.
"It's at times like these I wish I could find a magic Wardrobe and save Narnia." Logan said whistfully.
I gasped. "I love Narnia! They are my favourite books!"
Kari sighed. "Peter is so hot. And so is Caspian."
"Edmund beats both of them." I said, shaking my head.
"My favourtie character was always Aslan."
"Well, who could not love Aslan. Did you know his name is Turkish for lion?"
"You don't say!"
